My undergraduate days feel like a long time ago. I think I was the captain of the “nap taking” team during some of my time as an undergraduate. I paired that leadership role with others over the years, including playing varsity football, participating in drama and theater, tutoring in the Writing Center, serving as a Resident Assistant, and spending enough time in the library to finish my degree with honors. I am a “lifelong learner” who seeks ways to increase knowledge and critical thinking skills both in formal education and informal. Currently I am re-learning mountain biking skills on the trails of Fort Smith and NWA, becoming a minor mechanic on my 1982 BMW thanks to YouTube videos, and dabbling in carpentry as I build a storage system in my garage. I hope that formal education in the form of a doctorate in higher education enrollment management is in my future as well.
