1st Time Non-Traditional Student Scholarship

Priority Application Deadline: June 1


Students are encouraged to apply early for admission to UAFS for priority consideration for Non-Traditional Student Scholarships.  Scholarships are awarded as long as funding remains available.  Students must be First-Time-Entering Freshman to qualify.  This means students with any prior college enrollment will not qualify. 


NOTE: All materials for the Application for Admission and Scholarship Application must be received by the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

Renewal Criteria


  • 25 years of age or older
  • First-Time Entering Freshman
  • Acceptable AccuPlacer Scores
    • Writing: 263 or higher ANG1
    • Reading: 250 or Higher AGN2
    • Math:237 or Higher ANG5
  • Resume


  • Maintain 2.7 cumulative UAFS GPA
  • Maintain full time status (30 credit hours per year recommended)
  • $6,000 over 4 years, or until degree completion
  • $1,500 for tuition and fees each year
