Arkansas Job-Driven National Emergency Grant
UAFS works with WAEDA, the Western Arkansas Employment Development Agency, to offer free training for programs under the Arkansas Job-Driven National Emergency Grant. Call WAEDA at 479-474-7061 or the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services at 501-371-1024.
UAFS students receiving Veterans Affairs educational benefits under Chapters 33, 30, 31, 35, 1606 or 1607 and who are attending school at least three-fourths time are eligible to apply for work-study. Students are paid at the higher of the federal minimum wage or the state/local minimum wage. Student veterans can apply by completing VA Form 22-8691 (PDF will open in new tab), Application for Work-Study Allowance, and submitting to Veteran Certifying Official Heather Chance at firstname.lastname@example.org.
